Tracfone Basic Service vs DMFL Service

Tracfone has two levels of service. The Basic service and DMFL service. With DMFL (Double Minutes for Life) service every card you add to your phone will give you double the minutes stated on the card. If you are in GSM service area you can usually buy a phone with DMFL for $20. In CDMA service area you will normally have to purchase a DMFL card to get double minutes. I think that Net10 pays more for minutes usually on the Verizon CDMA network than on the AT&T or T-Mobile GSM networks.

Where is the Best Place to buy a Net10 phone?

I usually suggest purchasing your Net10 Phone online. You will almost always have the best variety of phones. I always check for Net10 Purchase Discount codes. Usually the codes will save you three to ten dollars on your Net10 phone purchase. Another option is Walmart, Target and Safeway usually carry the phones in stock but they normally only have the low end models.

Net10 is a straightforward Cost Per Minute prepaid cell phone company. Net10 is owned by Tracfone and operates nearly the same way with different rates and better phones.

To begin with you will buy a Net10 and a Net10 Card. You can only use a Net10 Cellular phone for Net10 prepaid service, you cannot use a Verizon, At&t, T-Mobile, Alltel, Net10 or any other phone with Net10 Service. The Net10 SIM card will not work in any other phone either.

Activating your Net Ten Prepay Phone

You will Activate the phone by calling Net10 on a land line or by using the web.

To activate your phone you will key in a series of numbers. It is really simple and if you hit the wrong key you will be able to easily redo it. For the system to activate your phone can take 10 minute to a couple of hours.

Next you will add a Net10 Minute Card. You will add the 15 digit PIN code into your phone.

When adding a minute card if you use a five digit Bonus Code you might get more minutes. Check out the Net10 Bonus Codes.

Net10 Service Time

The $20, $30, $45, $60 and $100 Net10 Cards all give you 30 days of service per $15 spent along with the 10 cent minutes. In order for your Net10 to work you need to have both Minutes and Service time on your phone. The remaining Net10 minutes always show on the display of your phone. The Service end date will also scroll onto your screen. It normally says “Add Airtime by 12/21/10 or service ends.” hwnet10wrks

Straight Talk does not really have a Yearly plan but you could stack 12 monthly cards. The $30 per month cards would cost $360 per year. The minutes will not stack, you will only be able to use 1000 minutes per month or you would start using the next months service. Straight Talk Unlimited for $45 per month. The Best Prepaid Yearly Cell Yearly Cell Plan

I think that for many people the Best Pre pay Yearly Mobile phone Yearly Cell Plan is the the Tracfone $200 3,000 minute (with DMFL) plan. This is only available from Tracfone.com. The minutes roll over and you only pay 6.6 cents per minute and $16.66 per month.

The $100 per year Tracfone wireless plan is a pretty good deal also but the units are more expensive at 12.5 cents a minute.

Net ten prepay yearly units are ten cents each and your yearly charge will be $200.

The T-Mobile Yearly Plan is simple. You buy the $100 unit card and your service will stay active for up to 12 months as long as you do not run out of units. The minutes will cost 10 cents. If you add smaller than $100 refill cards you will pay up to 33 cents a minute. You only get the ten cent per minute rate if you buy $100 at a time.

The Best Prepaid Yearly Cell Plan from Tracfone gives you a lot of flexibility. If you do not use all of your minutes they will roll over if you keep your service active.
